Sloviansk bakery with Team 4 Ukraine

Pastor and baker Oleh Tkachenko is a kind soul who helps people displaced by the war. He already had to move his bakery three times due to Russian bombings. In 2024, together with Team 4 Ukraine, we helped Oleh relocate the bakery from partially besieged Pokrovsk so that he could continue helping — this time in Sloviansk.

Previous relocations were not easy, because a large amount of equipment is needed for the bakery’s operation. At one point, some equipment was even exchanged with another bakery for ready bread so that civilians in remote areas would have something to eat. Now the bakery is running in Sloviansk and continues to provide bread to those in need despite all difficulties.
