Logistics
We are creating a platform connecting Western donors with Ukrainian needs and opportunities. Organizations, groups and individuals can use our logistical capacities to transport humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Our fleet consists of three trucks (40t, 18t, 12t), which regularly travel on the route Prague – Ukraine. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have transported more than 1,000 tons of material across the Slovak and Polish border. It is help that we managed to collect from donors in our collections, help donated by Czech companies or help provided by another humanitarian organization.
We follow the motto “empty warehouse, good warehouse”, so we strive for the fastest and most efficient transport of humanitarian aid to the most necessary places. Current logistics hubs include a warehouse in Prague, a warehouse in the Slovak border town of Sobrance and a warehouse in Odessa. From Odessa we transport humanitarian aid further to Mykolaiv, Kherson and surrounding villages.
In addition to transport and warehouses, we also help to cross borders virtually and on paper. Our volunteers help other organizations with customs clearances, declarations or providing information. In doing so, we are helping to slim down the border between the EU and Ukraine.
Distribution of humanitarian aid
We always have several volunteers directly on the spot of our help. These volunteers identify where help is most needed and distribute it there by vans. Hundreds of people depend on these distributions.
Aid is directed both to locals who cannot or do not want to leave the shelled areas, and to internal refugees who have fled the fighting sites. Our priority is to help in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, given the difficult situation due to the many months of occupation, the proximity of the front, and also the flooding after the explosion of the Kakhovka water reservoir.
Millions of people are being displaced within Ukraine alone, and the movements of the front are causing more and more movement of people. This makes it almost impossible to keep track of the population of individual villages or the availability of basic necessities. We also try to replace this role, at least to a small extent, by our work directly in the most affected areas.
The fact that we have volunteers on the spot guarantees that humanitarian aid really reaches those in need. However, we cooperate locally with a wide range of local organizations and volunteers, which we have verified through long-term cooperation.
Reconstruction projects of Ukraine
We already know that our work will not stop with the end of the war, but will continue long after, at least until Ukraine is integrated into the EU. That is why we are already participating in the reconstruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure, economy and culture.
